Gardening Young Children

I want to get my young children to help in the garden and tp enjoy themselves?

Any ideas how to turn this chore more into a family project? I would like the children to learn to enjoy it as much as I do. There is all the aspects of watching things grow and how they look.

One way I got my daughter interested is that I gave her an old aquarium which I converted to a ‘terrarium’ and filled with plants which were easy to grow. I then found watermelons, cantaloupes, and cucumbers growing in my flower beds because she thought she would plant the seeds out of her fruits to see if they would grow and they did!-
